Our founder, Dr. Taneidra Buie, Ph.D., is a biomedical scientist and engineer who often would use aromatherapy candles to ease her mood after a bustling day of research.
Out of her love of candles and crafts, Dr. Buie used her background in science to develop her own line of candles. Countless hours of testing were devoted until she found the perfect formula. From there, Enkindled Moods LLC was born, a small business specializing in crafting quality candles & more with unique fragrances that are sure to enkindle your mood.
Our Mission
Dr. Buie not only hopes to inspire your mood through her candles, but she also hopes to inspire other Black and Brown young men and women, to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), as there is currently disproportionate representation in the field. Enkindled Moods LLC plans to do this by supporting a STEM program that has a mission to provide resources and opportunities to these future young scholars.
